Caroline DuCharme

January 21, 1947 — November 14, 2025

Burton

DuCharme, Caroline - beloved wife, sister, mentor, and friend, passed away peacefully November 14, 2025 after a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was married to her devoted husband of 56 years, Joe, who remained by her side through every moment.

Following her wishes, she will not have a formal funeral service. Instead her cherished family, friends, former associates, and colleagues are invited to a Celebration of Life to honor the beautiful impact she had on all. It will be held Monday December 8 starting at 6 until 8 PM at Sharp Funeral Home, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48507. The sharing will begin at 6 PM, and gathering and visiting will continue when the sharing time is complete until 8 PM. This will not be a somber occasion, but a chance to share the stories, the laughter and the warmth she brought into the world. Anyone who feels comfortable is encouraged to prepare a brief story, funny or heartfelt, about Caroline. Let us celebrate Caroline's memory by sharing her beautiful legacy of her words and spirit. Please know that all are welcome and there is absolutely no pressure to speak. You presence is the greatest tribute to Caroline. If you prefer to share a memory, a sentiment, or a funny anecdote in writing, there will be a box available for gathering cards and letters.

You may consider a donation to St. Luke N.E.W. Life Center, 3115 Lawndale, Flint, Michigan 48504. (stlukenewlife.com)

Caroline is survived by her husband Joe; her brother, James Fain; her sister, Barbara Udell and husband Jack; brothers-in-law Mark DuCharme and Bill Stockton; sister-in-law Barbara Fain. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who adored her, as well as her cherished friend, Kristie Brahce, who held a special place in her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Anna Fain.

Caroline mastered the art of hairstyling, approaching her craft with talent, creativity, and genuine joy. She cared deeply for her clients, treating each one like family and making every person who sat in her chair feel seen, valued, and beautiful. Over the years, she became more than a stylist - she became a mentor. She guided countless young stylists, generously sharing her knowledge, her patience, and her belief that everyone has the potential to grow. Many of those she worked with credit her for shaping their careers and helping them find their confidence behind the chair and in life.

Caroline was truly a classy lady who possessed an incredible gift for knowing exactly the right thing to say or do, whether it was an encouraging word, a gentle nudge, a hug, or her cheery giggle. She lifted so many of us, often without realizing the strength and power of her love and wisdom.

Tributes may be shares at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
