Carolyn S. Fryfogle

Carolyn S. Fryfogle, age 79, lifelong resident of Lennon, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023. A Visitation will be at 10AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 12PM on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Sharp Funeral Home, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road in Swartz Creek. Carolyn was born on August 28, 1943, in Alpena, Michigan to the late Roy & Audrey Hanson. She graduated from Onaway High School in 1960. She married Allen C. Fryfogle on June 5, 1965, in Grand Blanc, Michigan. They were blessed with five children and Carolyn gracefully filled the position of the matriarch of the family. She ran the whole household single handedly and almost made it look easy. Carolyn cooked many meals for her family and diligently looked after all of her children. In her early years she enjoyed RV traveling with Allen and road trips up north with family. Recent years she looked forward to car rides, shopping trips and small adventures. In what spare time she had for herself she would crochet, or you might find her watching her favorite movie, Gone with the Wind. Above all her fondest memories where those spent with her family and her pride and joy of her life, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her five children, Roger (Barbara) Fryfogle, Troy (Julie) Fryfogle, Stacy Brown, Mark (Julie) Fryfogle and Eric (Katrina) Fryfogle; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her brother, Ed Hanson and sisters, Julie (Clifford) Banloon and Patricia Sydow. Carolyn is further survived by other dear family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Allen in 1999.
