Carolyn Virginia (Bond) Parsons, age 80, of Flushing, Michigan, formerly of Williamstown, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026.
Carolyn was born on May 4, 1946, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, to the late Clayton E. Bond and Leah Jane (Bond) Tennell.
She spent many years in Williamstown, West Virginia, before later making her home in Flushing, Michigan. Carolyn retired in 2015 after a career with Wes Banco Bank, where she served as a Branch Manager. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Parsons; her parents, Clayton E. Bond and Leah Jane (Bond) Tennell; and her siblings, Max Messenger, Larry Bond, and Debra Palmer.
She is survived by her children, Lisa Morrissey (Todd), Stephanie Parsons, and Robin Finnie (Gordon); her brother, Clayton Bond (Sandy); her sister-in-law, Jackie Bond; her grandchildren, Bethany Kendrick (Josh), Zachary Morris (Nancy), Nathaniel Thomas (Kaity), Gabriel Thomas(Ciara), and Matthew Morrissey (Ami); her great-grandchildren, Rylee, Elijah, Micah, Tyler, Annalise, Reagan, Jordyn, Nora, Jaycee, Leah, Levi, and Lily; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
The family is grateful for those who have shown kindness and support throughout Carolyn's journey.
A graveside memorial service and burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 1934 DuPont Road, Parkersburg, West Virginia, at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2026, with Pastor Marty Fullerton officiating. Family and friends are invited to attend as they remember Carolyn's life.
