Carolyn Ann Raubinger

July 31, 1938 — August 4, 2003

RAUBINGER, Carolyn Ann - Of Swartz Creek, age 65, went on to heaven Monday, August 4, 2003 at Community Home Health & Hospice. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral celebration will be held 5:30PM Thursday, August 7, 2003 at Central Church of the Nazarene, 1261 W. Bristol Rd., Flint, Pastor Norman Rickey officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Gaines. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Rd. Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek from 5-9PM Tuesday and 1-4, 6-9PM Wednesday and at the church from 4:30PM until the time of service Thursday. Those desiring, may make contributions to Central Church of the Nazarene Overseas Mission. She was a member of Central Church of the Nazarene. She had worked at Sears & Roebuck and also managed a successful business for several years as a manager for Home Interiors, Inc. Carolyn was a much loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and friend. Surviving are; husband of 45 years, Fred J. Raubinger; 3 daughters, Kim Raubinger, Kristen and husband Dale Hansen, Kendra and husband Dr. Jim Chambers, all of Swartz Creek; son, Philip and wife Teresa Raubinger of Gaines; she was a great 'Nanna' to Brett and Meggan Williams of Swartz Creek, Chad, Travis and Tara Hansen of Swartz Creek, Lenae, Savannah and Hunter Chambers of Swartz Creek, Zachary and Garrett Raubinger of Gaines; sister, Connie Bentley of Swartz Creek; brothers, Richard and wife Jeanie VanDeWater of Flint Twp., Danny and wife Wendy VanDeWater of Davison; special cousin, Jean Richardson of Millington. She also had many aunts, uncles and cousins of the Rogers family in Paragould, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her father, Elton Blasdell and mother and step-father, Pecola Ruth and Glen VanDeWater. We all celebrate the life and the love that she freely shared and look forward to the day. It will happen in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For there will be a trumpet blast from the sky and all Christians who have died will suddenly become alive, with new bodies that will never, never die. 1st Cor. 15:52.
