Cary AUSTIN

AUSTIN, Cary J. - Age 68, of Reese, died Friday, July 29, 2011. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 958 E. Tuscola St., Frankenmuth. Fr. Robert H. Byrne celebrant. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd, Flint, Tuesday from 5-9 PM, Wednesday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM and at church Thursday from 10-11 AM. A K of C Rosary will be prayed at the funeral home 7 PM Tuesday. A vigil service will be held at the funeral home 7:00 PM Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions to the MS Society. Mr. Austin was born January 9, 1943 in Flint, the son of James and Pauline (White) Austin. He was a graduate of Flint Central High School where he played football. He married his soulmate, Bonnie Grubbs July 28, 1962 in Flint. He had resided in Reese for the past 5 years coming from AuGres and Flushing. Mr. Austin was co-owner of Sean's Hush Puppies and many other business investments and real estate. He was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church and the Saginaw Knights of Columbus Council #4232. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed spending time at his home on the Saginaw Bay in AuGres. Surviving are: wife, Bonnie; children, Cary II, Amy and Sean (Kellie); grandchildren, Brittney, Caitlin, Lauren, Morgan, Sean II, Cary III and Payten; siblings, Robert (Angie) Austin, Marcia Piechowski, Alicia Gomez; mother-in-law, Marie Ervin of Cyrstal Falls; sister-in-law, Shelby Harrington of Crystal Falls; and many nieces and nephews.
