GURSKI, Char A. age 65, of Fenton, formerly of Munising, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Services will be held at 6:00PM on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will be from 3PM on Wednesday until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery, Munising in the spring. Char was born June 8, 1947, in Munising, the daughter of Joseph and Genevieve (Gomney) Perry. She married Gary J. Gurski on March 2, 1968, in Munising. In the early years of their marriage, they lived in Germany while Gary served in the Army. Char remembered this time fondly. After returning to the United States, Gary and Char moved to Fenton where they raised their family, which was the most important thing to Char. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Spending time with her grandchildren was Char's greatest joy. She also loved the many pets she adopted over the years. She cherished the time she spent going back to her hometown of Munising where she spent summers with family & friends. She enjoyed going to the casino to play the slots and visiting the Great Smokey Mountains of Tennessee whenever possible. Surviving are her daughter, Melissa Gurski of Fenton; Gary J. Gurski, Jr. (Misty) of Fenton; three grandchildren, Josh, Jenna and Jaycee Gurski; sister, Pat Cromell of Munising; brother, Dave Perry (Darlene) of Wisconsin; brothers in-law and sisters-in-law, Willard Anderson, Barb Perry, Karen (Gurski) Kohlbeck (Jim), Allen Gurski (Karen).
