BERGER, Charles Elmer- Age 88, of Burton, died Friday, March 7, 2014. Services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Charles was born June 17, 1925 in Pontiac, the son of Charles W. and Grace (Knight) Berger. He married Velma E. Wykes on February 20, 1948 in Linden. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, serving in the South Pacific during WWII. Charles worked in the construction industry, drove ambulance for Reigle Funeral Home, and retired as an electronic technician. Charles is survived by his wife, Velma; 2 children, Margaret (Dennis) Donahue of Flint, Charles R. (Sonya) Berger of Swartz Creek; 6 grandchildren, Bruce Willoughby, Angela (Joel) Herrick, Michael Donahue, Charles D. (Heather) Berger, Alexander B. Berger, Ben E.
