Charles Banker ETZLER

ETZLER, Charles Banker, age 70, of Flushing, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 at home. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Thursday, May 31, 2012 at St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church, 9252 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Fr. Gene Geromel officiating. The family will receive friends 10:00AM Thursday until time of service at the church. Visitation will be 1-4 and 6-8PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church. Charles was born October 3, 1941 in Flint the son of the late Joseph and Frances (Banker) Etzler. He was employed at Chevrolet Metal Fab until his retirement after 35 years of service. Charles was a member of U.A.W. Local 659, he started Club 225 and was the former Chairman of Democratic Party for Genesee County. Surviving are his 5 children, Gregory Etzler (Dawn) of Swartz Creek, Jerome Etzler of Los Angeles, CA, Danielle Etzler of Boston, MA, and their mother, Yvonne; Aaron Etzler, Elyse Etzler of Flushing and their mother, Nancy; 3 grandchildren, Nicholas, Madeline and Caitlin Etzler; close family, Ian Jones of the U.S. Army, Matthew Depaulma of Davison; sister-in-law, Pat Etzler; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved pets, Kane and Sylvester.
