Charles Sanborn

SANBORN, Charles Edward - Age 67, of Grand Blanc, died Thursday, June 22, 2017. Funeral services will be held 12:30 PM Thursday, June 29 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Darrell Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held 10 AM until the time of service on Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Charles Sanborn Memorial Fund. Charles was born January 5, 1950 in Flint, the son of John and Joan (Beach) Sanborn. He was a graduate of Holly High School. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Cheryl Stewart on June 15, 1974. He retired from General Motors as a fork lift operator. Charles was an avid outdoorsman and a member of the N.T.C. Church. Charles is survived by his wife, Cheryl; two children, Matthew (Melony) Sanborn, Sara (fiancee Charles Johnson); two grand-boys, Matthew and Nathan; dear friend, Susan Walsh; his beloved dog, Charlie.
