Cheryl Lynn LaRocque

LaRocque, Cheryl Lynn - Age 79, of Milford passed away Thursday, July 23, 2026. A service to celebrate Cheryl's life will be announced in the future.

Cheryl was born June 6, 1947 in Flint, the daughter of Kenner and Theresa (Thomas) Grable. She was a 1965 graduate of Fenton High School; and she received her Bachelor's and Master's degree from Michigan State University. She married Christopher Doss LaRocque June 18, 1971 in Fenton. She had resided in Milford for the past 16 years, coming from Fenton. Cheryl retired from the Holly Community Schools as a teacher. She enjoyed traveling, sailing, knitting, and golfing. She also was an avid supporter of the Linden High School Band Boosters.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Christopher; daughter, Michelle Pietraszkiewicz of Milford; grandchildren, Bailey, Madelyn, and Lydia Pietraszkiewicz all of Milford; sister, Darlene (Ed) Boersema of Swartz Creek; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Brian and Pam LaRocque of Florida; nephews, Paul (Krystal) Herman of Carson City and Blake Boersema of Durand; niece, Niki (Bryan) Bartel of Sarasota, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenner and Theresa Grable; and daughter, Jennifer LaRocque.
