Christine Leslie Bellows

Bellows, Christine Leslie - Age 73, of Swartz Creek, passed away April 15, 2026. Private services will be held. Christine was born June 25, 1952, in Pontiac, Michigan, the daughter of Robert and Katherine (Smith) Steward. She had a deep love for St. Ignace, where she spent much of her time and worked for many years at her father’s campground, Lakeshore Campground. She is survived by her three children: Jennifer Owens and fiancé David Jatkola of Minnesota, Sean Bellows of Saline, and Courtney Bellows of Swartz Creek; five grandchildren: Nicholas Owens, Taylen Rudder, Miro Ono Bellows, Conan Ono Bellows, and Emily Bellows; sister, Karen Smeja; sisters-in-law, Karen Bellows and Claudette Steward; and nephews, Nathan (Julie) Smeja, Ryan (Dawn) Smeja, and Colin Smeja. She will be greatly missed by her great-nephews, Simon, Samuel, Theodore, and Fischer, who lovingly called her “Aunt Kissy,” as well as by her lifelong best friend, Becky Moghaziel. Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Katherine Steward; her husband, Douglas Bellows, on June 2, 2018; and her brother, David Steward, on August 14, 2024.
