Clara Eastman

EASTMAN, Clara B. of Gaines, Michigan age 94, passed on Monday evening December 3, 2014. She was born in Auburn, Michigan on June 21, 1920 to the late Edmond and Eva (Fournier) LeVasseur. Clara was married to the late Frank L. Eastman and she owned Gaines Beauty Shop since 1950. Clara was an active member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gaines. She is survived by: three children, Gale Johnson of Montrose, MI, Franklin Eastman of Gaines, MI and Katherine (John) Fox of Livingston, MT; 7 grandchildren, Jonathan Fox, Camille Fox (Kevin) Lefere, Joshua (Tina) Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Patricia Fox, Cassandra Johnson and Lucas (Jordon) Johnson; 5 great-grandchildren, Benjamin Lefere, Wyatt Johnson, Eric Lefere, Gabriella Johnson and Elena Lefere; two brothers, Jerome LeVasseur of Gladwin, MI, Norman (Virginia) LeVasseur of Auburn, MI; her sister-in-law, Doris LeVasseur of Bay City, MI and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Odeal (Virgil) Sharp, sister, Delia (Earl) Young, Brother Earnest (Frieda) LeVasseur, brother, Arthur (Angeline) LeVasseur, brother, Omer LeVasseur, sister, Pearl (Warren) Smith and sisters-in-law, Wilhelmina LaVasseur and Maureen LeVasseur. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 9450 Duffield Rd., Gaines, MI with Fr. Jeffrey Poll celebrant. Arrangements entrusted to Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden.
