Claudia Janice Lawrence

Lawrence, Claudia Janice - Age 83, of Swartz Creek, died June 12, 2025 at her residence. Services will be held 11 AM Monday June 30, 2025 at the Swartz Creek Community Church, 7400 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make contributions to theSwartz Creek Community Church.

Claudia was born February 22, 1942 in Jefferson City, Missouri , the daughter of Edgar Merrell Taylor and Bertha (Griffith) Taylor. She married Billy Lawrence on May 16, 1964 in Flint; he preceded her in death April 2, 2020. Claudia and her husband Billy were longtime active member of the Swartz Creek Community Church. Nothing brought her more joy than supporting and cheering on her beloved grandchildren.

Surviving are: two children, Christine (Jeff) Plaxco of Howard City, David (Michelle) Lawrence of Jackson; grandchildren, Lee (Corinne) Plaxco, Tyler Plaxco, David (Amber) Plaxco, Jonathan (Victoria) Plaxco, Taylor Lawrence, and Brady Lawrence; great-granddaughter, Alessandra; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Billy Taylor and Joyce Rainey.
