Cleta Kidwell

KIDWELL, Cleta A. - Age 94, of Mount Vernon Ohio, passed on to be in the arms of her loving Lord on Friday, March 24, 2017, at The Laurels of Mt. Vernon . Services will be held 11AM Monday, April 10 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Cleta was born December 8, 1922 in Flint the daughter of Franklin and Agnes (Kagey) Kidwell. She was a graduate of Michigan State College in 1945. She was a teacher for 2 years in Muskegon and 1 year in Kalamazoo before heading to Flint where she was an instrumental music teacher and a second grade teacher for thirty years. She performed with the Kalamazoo and Flint Symphony Orchestra. She is a retired member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society and served as President of Alpha Alpha Chapter for two years. She was a member of the Court Street Methodist Church in Flint, an affiliate member of Grace Methodist Church in Venice, FL and Mulberry Street Methodist Church in Mount Vernon. She moved to Venice in 1979 and shared a home with two very special friends, Reva Robertson of Mount Vernon and Norma Demorest (deceased) from Flint, in Apple Valley.
