Clifton Stearns Orr

ORR, Clifton Stearns - Age 82, of Linden, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away at home, Friday, March 13, 2026 surrounded and cared for by his family. A graveside service will be announced at a later date.

Cliff was born October 7, 1943 in Flint, the son of the late Stearns and Marie (Coon) Orr. He graduated in 1961 from Linden High School, where he lettered in 3 varsity sports, Football, Basketball, and Baseball; he attended Flint Junior College and the University of Michigan, Flint, and graduated with a degree in Accounting. He served in the U.S. Army for 2 years. He retired from General Motors as an Accountant after 30 years of service.

Cliff loved hosting family "sing-a-long's" where he played the piano with songs from the 20's, 30's, and 40's, in his family home of five generations. He loved animals, and his dogs were always by his side, especially at mealtime.

He is survived by: his wife of 51 years, Marjorie (Schaaf) Orr; daughters, Nancy (Carl Schools) and Noelle; grandson, Logan; brother, Douglass Orr; sister, Viola (Bob) Holec; and many nieces and nephews.
