Clinton Arthur TOWNSEND

TOWNSEND, Clinton Arthur - Age 87, of Linden, died January 8, 2014. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, January 16, 2014 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 6481 Faussett Road, Howell, Fr. Gregg Pleiness celebrant. Interment in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9 PM Wednesday with a 7 PM Scripture service at Sharp Funeral Homes, 209 East Broad Street, Linden. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. Clinton was born May 16, 1926 in Durand, the son of Charlie and Ilo (Elly) Townsend. He was married to Margaret Cloutier on October 19, 1946; she preceded him in death on June 19, 2005. Mr. Townsend was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in WWII. He retired from Buick after 31 years of service. Mr. Townsend is survived by: two children, Mark E. and wife Norma of Maumee, OH, Martha A. and husband Dean Moody of Wylie, TX; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and close friends.
