THOMPSON, Clyde -- Age 87 of Burton died December 12, 2015. Funeral services will be held 11AM Thursday, December 17, 2015 at South Baptist Church 4091 Van Slyke Rd., Flint, Pastor Larry Burk officiating. Interment will take place at Mt. Morris Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-4PM and 6-8PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint, and also from 10AM until the time of service Thursday at the church. Contributions may be made to South Baptist Church. Clyde was born August 6, 1928 the son of Clyde E. and Minnie B. (Bays) Thompson in Eggleton, WV. He served our country during the Korea Era in the US Army. He was employed by General Motors in which he worked quality control for the Buick division. Clyde lived in Burton since 1979 and was a member of South Baptist Church. He loved to travel enjoyed spending time camping, hunting and fishing. Survived by children; Robert (Kathy) Thompson, Thomas (Christina) Thompson, Timothy Thompson, Tracie Kenney, 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Clyde was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Jean Thompson, parents, brother, Carl and sister, Elba. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
