Constance June Calderon

February 21, 1934 — March 28, 2024

CALDERON, Constance June - Age 90, formerly of Melvindale, passed away March 28, 2024. Private services and burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Linden. Constance was born February 21, 1934 in Detroit, the daughter of Walter and Annie Jeannie (Crilley) Kerstein. June loved to cook and entertain, especially for her family on holidays. She was fun loving and found joy in many things. She loved animals and could always be found feeding and taking in strays. She would often have the neighborhood kids over to do crafts. She enjoyed her job at Plunkett-Cooney Law Firm in Detroit, where she worked as an assistant until the age of 80. She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Frederick) Mannix and Sandra Chico; her beloved grandchildren, Lisa, Simon, Laura, Eric, Heather, Christy, Jesse, Nicole and Brandon as well as several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Joyce Herrera; son, David Joseph Calderon; husband, Lewis Theodore Schatzline; brothers, James and Walter; sister, Joyce.
