Constance Confer

CONFER, Constance Anna (Connie) -- Age 81, of Swartz Creek, entered into eternal peace on Thursday December 29, 2016. She was surrounded by her family as she drifted off to be with the Lord. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM Tuesday January 3, 2017 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be 12-3 PM and 4-7 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, where a rosary will be prayed at 7PM Monday. Connie was born on March 3rd, 1935 in Hazelton, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Helen (Resetar) Butnitski and graduated from St. Matthews Catholic School in Flint, MI. Connie was married to Albert (Zeb) Confer on November 28th, 1953 and from this union, they had four children. She enjoyed bowling, painting ceramic china, playing cards with lifelong friends Wayne and Judy Sutter, and being with her family. She was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church where she taught religion classes for over twenty years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Zeb, and her children Daniel Confer and Theresa Credeur. Surviving are: sister, Bernice Bolanowski of Swartz Creek, daughter, Helene (Gregory) Lay of Swartz Creek, son, David Confer of Flint. She had several grandchildren who greatly loved her: Stephanie (Evan) Pratt, Andrew Lay, Matthew Lay, Megan Confer, Jacob Confer, David Confer, Daniel Credeur, and Glenda Credeur, as well as many nieces and nephews that she loved and cared about.
