Cynthia L. Kvintus, age 53, of Flushing, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025. For those attending the Memorial Service the family asks that you wear something red and black as these were her favorite colors or even a Renaissance outfit. Cynthia was born on May 18, 1972, in Flint, Michigan to the late Mathew & Marcia (Malcolm) Kvintus. Through her childhood and teen years, she did modeling, pageants, ballet, tap, and jazz. She attended Flushing High School, graduating in 1991. After high school Cynthia attended barber school. She worked as a local hair stylist and worked at Golden Knight salon, she did hair in client's homes, and before her passing, she worked at Great Clips. Cynthia was frequently coloring her daughter, Shaeanne's, hair. This was something they did at home, and she truly loved being creative with the colors.

All her life Cynthia loved music. Her favorite musicians and bands were; Yanni, Enigma, Queen and Fleetwood Mac. She had an exceptionally beautiful voice and loved singing and dancing. Cynthia was a "carefree soul" when it came to exploring. Often, she would go for long drives anywhere and everywhere, getting lost and always finding her way home. She enjoyed all things outdoors, but her lawn was her pride and joy. She meticulously kept it mowed and no one could do it better than her. Cynthia adored terrible cheesey budget films, horror films with her daughter, as well as playing video games with her throughout the night. Cynthia and her family loved trips up north and no one could make a pot of chili or a batch of salsa like hers!

In her life Cynthia cared for many pets, she leaves behind her furry baby Tinky Cat and grand-dog, Ellie May. Above all she will be missed dearly by her family and many friends. What’s our favorite memory of her? All of them.

Cynthia is survived by her loving daughter, Shaenne Riedel; partner, Mike Riedel; brother, Bill Kvintus; aunts, Anne Malcolm & Linda Holdridge; nephews, Lester Jones, Christopher Kvintus, Alan Kvintus; Nieces; Alicia Kvintus; Cousins, David Sheets and Chris Sheets,Jenny Sheets; best friends, Alison Gross, Winfred Harrelson and Jennifer Donaldson. Cynthia is further survived by many other family members and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her uncle, Henry Kvintus, Walter Kvintus and her cousin, Russell Holdridge.
