Cyril Martin Hudechek

HUDECHEK, Cyril Martin - age 80 of Fenton, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Friday, February 20 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 711 Rickett Rd. Brighton. Fr. Mathias Thelen celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-8 PM Thursday, February 19 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton; and 9:30 AM until the time of Mass Friday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to the Society of St. Vincent DePaul of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Cyril, the son of Martin and Lillian Hudechek was a country boy who was a bit wild at heart. Cyril loved horses, guns and classic cars-especially his 1969 Plymouth GTX that he used to race along Woodward Ave.- and traveling cross country with his daughter, Heather; he cherished the times they spent together and especially their time together in Santa Barbara. Cyril always donned a suit and had a knack for making people laugh. He was an Insurance Broker for Prudential, American Equity, and a national Top Producer with ING and loved the work he did, helping his clients earn money from their investments without market risk. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He will be dearly missed by those closest to him, but they take comfort knowing that he is now walking with Jesus in Heaven.

Surviving are: his children, Heather Sabitov, Laura Kroll, Robin Hudechek, Richard Hudechek; several grandchildren; brothers, Robert Hudechek Sr., Martin Hudechek; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
