Dale A. Wilhelm

WILHELM, Dale A.  Age 79, of Flint Twp., died Monday, December 22, 2003 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Services will be held 1 PM Saturday, December 27, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Pastor Martin B. Watkins and Pastor Charles Terry co-officiating. Entombment will be held Crestwood Cemetery Mausoleum, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be from 1-9 PM Friday and 11-1 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the charity of ones choice. Mr. Wilhelm was born May 3, 1924 in Wheeler, MI, the son of Alvin F. and Ersel L. (Hall) Wilhelm. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. Mr. Wilhelm married Betty I. Hilts on August 24, 1946 and she preceded him in death on April 8, 2000. He worked in transportation services for many years retiring in 1987. Mr. Wilhelm was a lifetime member of VFW Chevrolet Post #3087 and a member of the Teamsters. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Surviving are: six children, Allan and wife, Peggy, Garry and wife, Marie, Dennis and wife, Anna, Darwin and wife, Cathy, Joan and husband, Marvin Leadmon, Christopher; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dain Wilhelm and wife, Marion, Lyle Wilhelm; many other loving relatives and friends.
