Daniel Dale BUMSTEAD

Bumstead, Daniel Dale - Age 54, of Flint, died Sunday, February 9, 2014. Funeral services will be held 6PM Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Pastor Mark Cox officiating. Visitation will be held 12PM until time of service Tuesday. Mr. Bumstead was born March 16, 1959 in Flint, Michigan the son of Dale "Dagwood" Bumstead and Lois (Bumstead) Eckhout. Dan was a transmission mechanic and enjoyed working on cars his entire life. He could fix anything from a bicycle to an army tank, nothing too big or small. He was a man that could do anything and he did. He was loved by all who knew him. He was a protector of the innocent and always was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He served his country as an Airborne Ranger 2nd / 70 Armor Division and Rescuer of P.O.W. He retired from G.M. Truck and Bus with 20 years of service. Surviving are: loving wife, Michelle; children, Janiel Bumstead, Drake Bumstead, Dustin Yax, Brandon Yax Trenton Yax, Mike Donahue; grandchildren, Jaylon Pitts, Isabella Noonan, Thomas Noonan III, all of Flint; mother, Lois Eckhout of Roseville, MI; brothers, Brian, Mike, Jeff Bumstead all of Flint; several nieces and nephews.
