Daniel H. Kenny Jr.

Daniel Hurld Kenny, Jr., of Byron, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026 at Courtyard Manor in Fenton. He was 77 years old.

Born June 16, 1949 in Detroit he was one of 14 children born to Daniel H. and Sylvia (Bozarth) Kenny. He worked his entire career for Cooney Engineering Company and was a proud member of Sheet Metal workers Local 80. Daniel enjoyed golfing, he was an excellent carpenter and was an avid Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions fan. Most of all he loved hanging out in his garage and tinkering on projects.

Daniel is survived by his children, daughter Charlotte Kenny (Todd) and son Daniel Kenny III (Bree); three grandchildren Trace Van Sickle (Lydia), Drew Van Sickle and Ana Campbell; seven sisters, Janet, Bette, Cheryl, Veronica, Kathy, Linda and Donna; three brothers Bernard, Tony and Mike; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joan E. Kenny as well as three sisters, Barb, Gala and Peggy.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden with Deacon Ron Kenney officiating. There will be visitation from 12:00pm until time of the service.
