Nelson, Darlene - Age 72, of Fenton, passed into God's glory, Thursday, September 12, 2013. A memorial service will be held 12:00PM Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Tri-County Christian Church, 13020 Holtforth, Fenton. Burial in Hodges Cemetery at a later date. Funeral arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Darlene was born December 15, 1940 in Jefferson, Iowa, the daughter of Charles Stougard and Eileen (Williams) Stougard. She married Chuck Nelson in Keewatin, Minnesota on June 6, 1964. Darlene enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her granddaughters. Mrs. Nelson was an active member of Tri-County Christian Church. Surviving are: husband, Chuck Nelson; daughter, Pam Nelson; son, Scott and wife Brenda Nelson; Granddaughters, Charlie, Jennifer, Nicole all of Fenton; sister, Velma (Jerry) Sullivan of MN; brother, Darwin (Lonnie) Stougard of MN; many nieces and nephews.
