David Nile Colvin

COLVIN, David Nile  Age 59, of Spruce Pine, NC, died Tuesday, September 2, 2003 at his residence. Graveside services will be held 2 PM Friday, September 5, 2003 at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Mitchell County, P.O. Box 38, Spruce Pine, NC 28777. He was the son of the late Nile Dean and Doris Margaret (Gottschalk) Colvin. Mr. Colvin was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the Marines. Surviving are: wife, Janet Beaver Colvin of Spruce Pine, NC; daughter, Dara Horne of CA; son, Dan Colvin of Spruce Pine, NC; step-son, Chris Hutchinson of MS; two grandchildren, Edward Nile Colvin, John Horne; two sisters, Patricia Tahash of Lexington, KY, Janice Shepherd of West Branch.
