David Dunn -- Age 73, beloved husband, father, and craftsman, passed away January 21, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family. He was the oldest of three children and carried that role throughout his life with quiet strength, responsibility, and care for those around him.
There will be a visitation from 1-5 PM Sunday January 25 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc, Michigan, 48507. (There will not be a formal service following.) Those desiring may make contributions to Gift of Life of Michigan.
David was married to his devoted spouse, Chris Dunn, with whom he shared a life grounded in partnership, love, and mutual respect. Together they raised his daughter, Emily, who was a constant source of pride and joy for David. He was a dedicated and loving father, always present and supportive.
David proudly served in the United States Army, a chapter of his life that reflected his deep sense of duty and commitment to others. Following his military service, he worked as a skilled tin smith at General Motors, taking pride in honest work and craftsmanship.
He found his greatest peace outdoors-fishing, spending time at the cabin, tending to his garden, and enjoying the simple rhythms of nature. These moments brought him joy and were often shared with family, friends, and his dog Max, creating lasting memories.
David will be remembered for his steady presence, hardworking spirit, and love for his family and the outdoors.
He leaves behind his wife Chris; his daughter Emily Dunn (Jon Lomaka); his step children Brent Vasicek, Brian (Amy) Vasicek, Monica (Jason) Vickers; six grandchildren; his siblings; his dog Max; and many who were fortunate to know and love him. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the quiet moments of care he gave so freely.
