David Asa Erickson

David Erickson preferred Dave.  Only his mother and mother-in-law called him David.  Dave's father, a Ford executive, moved the family from New Jersey to Dearborn when Dave was 5-6 years old.  Brother Jon was born there. Dave loved sports, but his passion was hockey which he played until his back wouldn't allow it.  Dave was diagnosed with ALS in December 2025, but had symptoms the year prior.  His will to live was strong; he fought to the end.  He leaves behind his sister and brother-in-law, Bridget and George, his brother, Jon, his childhood friend, Kenny, his bff, Celeste, nieces and nephews, outlaw cousins, and hockey buddies, all of whom mourn his passing.  Be at peace, friend. You were loved.
