David Hiney, Sr.

HINEY, David Ray Sr., - Age 81, of Swartz Creek, passed away January 25, 2016 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 7 PM Saturday, January 30, 2016 following visitation which will be held from 1-4 & 5-7 PM Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to the family. David was born July 21, 1934 in Marquette. He came to Flint in the 50's looking for work and gained employment at Buick. After five years, he went to AC Spark Plug and worked there until his retirement in 1996. He met his wife in March 1976 and it was love at first sight. He and Janet were married on June 18, 1988. They made their home in Swartz Creek. In 1996 he retired and became a father once again to a baby girl, Jessica Abigail. She meant the world to him. His life was full even though his medical issues were many. He is loved by a great deal of people. Surviving are: wife, Janet (Wohlford) Hiney; daughters, Jessica and Darlene (Chris) Kosa; sons, Robert (Janet) Hiney and David (Cindy) Hiney; several grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
