David Lee JANUS

JANUS, David Lee - age 75, of Fenton, died Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Genesys Health Park. Services will be held 1 PM Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton with Pastor Robert Lindsay officiating. The family will receive friends from 3-8 PM Friday and 10 AM until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Adopt-A-Pet of Fenton. Mr. Janus was born May 5, 1937 in Detroit, the son of Arthur and Elsie (Cebalt) Janus. He married Frances S. Pierce on May 2, 1969. Mr. Janus was a retired from the U.S. Army in 1996 and had also served in the U.S. Air Force. He also retired from General Motors where he worked in Plant Security at the Cadillac Plant in Grand Blanc. Mr. Janus was very active in the Civil Air Patrol in Flint. Surviving are: wife, Frances Janus of Fenton; two daughter, Linda Flewelling of Fenton, Kimerly and husband, Jerry Barry of Fenton; step-son, Larry Walraven and wife, Sue of IN; seven grandchildren, Natalie Flewelling, Kaitlyn Barry, Jerome Barry, Olivia Flewelling, Abigail Barry, Larry Walraven III and Collin Barry; one great-grandchild, Sophia Earl; brother, Harold Janus and wife, Helen; niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father in 1974, mother in 2002 and grandson, Keenan Barry in 2008. Friends may share an online tribute on the obituary page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
