David Joseph

JOSEPH, David - age 80, of Swartz Creek, died April 17, 2020. Due to social distancing requirements, a private burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI and Veteran Honors will be performed at a late date. David was born February 28, 1940 in Flint, the son of Paul and Louise (Moses) Joseph, Sr. He was a 1958 graduate of Flint Central High School and married Kay Shepard on October 28, 1961. David was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis and attended Mott Community College for welding. He retired from General Motors in 2000 after 32 years as a Welder and was a member of U.A.W. Local 599. Surviving are: wife, Kay; son, Trevor (Jennifer) Joseph of Davisburg; two grandsons, Jax Joseph of Davisburg, Bryce Joseph and fiancée, Sarah Youngert of Waterford. He was preceded in death by: his parents; three brothers, Richard, Paul and Edward; sister, Sonia Zaroo. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
