David Leonard Jr.

David Leonard Jr. - age 87 of Swartz Creek, passed away on May 6, 2026. Memorial Mass will be held at 11AM on Friday, June 12, 2026, at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church- 4413 Morrish Rd, Swartz Creek, MI, with memorial visitation taking place from 10AM until the time of service at the church. Committal service will take place immediately following Mass at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4142 Flushing Rd, Flint, MI. Arrangements entrusted to Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.

David was born April 11, 1939 in Morganton, North Carolina to the late David G. and Mary (Freeze) Leonard Sr. He worked for AC Spark Plug for 33 years, and was a member of the Flint Association for the Deaf for 60 years.

David is survived by his wife Maureen (Kelly) Leonard; children David (Lori) Leonard III, Laureen (Joe) Obermiller, Catherine Leonard, and Chad (Krishna) Leonard; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings Richard, Lonnie and Doris; daughter Katrina; and grandson Justin.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted. All donations will go to Flint Association of the Deaf - Senior Citizens Organization.
