SLY, David Bernard - Age 61, of Flint, died October 27, 2013. Services will be held 5PM Friday, November 8, 2013 at the American Legion Hall, 4314 W. Carpenter Road, Flint. Those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society or American Cancer Society. David was born April 17, 1952 in Flint, the son of Ernest and Dorothy (Salgat) Sly. He retired from AC Spark Plus in 2003 with 30 years of service. David enjoyed Nascar and Tigers Baseball. Surviving are: children, Sherry (Andy) Sly, Eric (Mandy) Sly, Daniel (Kelsey) Sly; grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor, Tristan and Kameron; mother, Dorothy Sly; brothers and sister, Mike (Carol), Kenny (Janet), Gerald (Bonnie), Freddy (Penny), Cindy, Jimmy (Renee), Herbie; sister-in-law, Beth Sly; friend, Duane Titmus; former wife, Debbie O'Leary; and his dog, Kasey. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Bobby. The family extends a special thank you to Jaina and Shaquita.
