Dean R. "Curley" KNEISEL

KNEISEL, Dean R. "Curley" - of Flint, age 91, passed away, July 23, 2013 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 1:30 PM Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint with Rev. Carol Blair Bouse officiating. Interment will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held 10 AM until the time of service, 1:30 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Dean was born in Evart, MI on July 8, 1922, the son of the late Jacob and Freda (Lauman) Kneisel. He was a Word War II veteran, serving in with the United States Army. He was employed at Buick Motor Division for 42 years, retiring in 1983. He married Estelle LaCasse on February 21, 1956 and they were happily married for 57 years. Dean loved to fish, golf and bowl. In his later years, he enjoyed reading and listening to music. He was a wonderful husband and father. He will be greatly missed. Surviving are: wife, Estelle Kneisel; daughters, Barb Licquia (Jim) of Grand Blanc and Marilyn Cherry (Dan) of Saginaw; brother, Elden (Jane) Kneisel of Flint; grandchildren, Amber (Brandon) Walker, Matthew Licquia, Brianna Cherry, Emily Cherry, special friend Cindy Reid, and many nieces and nephews.
