RICE, Delbert Ronald - Age 76, of Lennon, died November 2, 2013 at his residence . Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, November 5 at Sharp Funeral Homes, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint . Visitation will be held 12-2 PM Tuesday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society or McLaren Home Care and Hospice. Delbert was born September 13, 1937 in Benzonia MI the son of James Lindsey Rice and Myrtle Frances (Worden) Rice. Delbert married Joan Bodlien on March 22, 1984 in New Lothrop. He worked for the State of Michigan for 28 years retiring in 1991. Surviving are: wife of 29 years, Joan; children, Jeffrey (Tonia) Rice of Spring Arbor, Kimberly (Brian) Fish of Marshall, Shirley (Ron) Dieck of Lennon; grandchildren, Chad (Leeann) Smith, Matthew (Julia) Smith, Jordan Dieck, Justin Dieck, Hayleigh Rice, Katie Fish; great-granddaughter Hailee Smith; brothers Bernard (Carol) Rice, Michael (Angie) Rice; sister-in-law, Dorothy Rice; several nieces and nephews.
