Della Sisler

SISLER, Della Mae - Age 89, of Flushing, died Tuesday, December 16, 2014. Funeral services will be 1 PM Friday, December 19 at Hilltop Church of God, G-3450 Larchmont Ave., Flint. Pastor Michael Case and Pastor Donald O'Leary officiating. Burial will take place 3 PM Friday, May 15, 2015 at Clark Cemetery, Fife Lake. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road Swartz Creek and 12-1 PM Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Hilltop Church of God. Della was born August 8, 1925 in Rapid River, the daughter of Floyd R. and Erva D. (Haskin) Burt. She married Charles R. Sisler on December 26, 1945 in Maryland. Della was a 1943 graduate of Flint Central High School. She retired from General Motors-AC Spark Plug and was a member of Hilltop Church of God. She enjoyed needlepoint, counted cross stitching, knitting and crocheting. Della is survived by her husband, Charles; sisters, Virginia Corwin, June Davis, Joy (Marvin) Birchmeier, Judy (Ernest) Thompson, Janice (Dave) Florida; brother, Bernard Burt; brother-in-law, Donald (Barbara) Sisler; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Stanley Burt. Special thanks to Morgan Maker and Julie Corrion for their care of Della.
