Delmar F. SPAINHOWER

SPAINHOWER, Delmar F. - age 75, of Flint, died Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Services will be held 1 PM Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint with Dr. Darrell Foltz officiating. Visitation will be held 1-9 PM Monday and 12 PM until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Genesys Hospice. Mr. Spainhower was born November 2, 1934 in Glennie, MI, the son of Francis and Fern (Rickel) Spainhower. He had resided in Flint for 42 years. Mr. Spainhower married Edith A. Pakosz on February 14, 1957 and she preceded him in death on February 22, 2010. Mr. Spainhower retired from General Motors Chevrolet Metal Fab after 37 years of service. Surviving are: son, Brian; four grandchildren, Laurina, Brian, Jr., Brendan and Zachary; sister, Darlene (David) Roberts of Lincoln; two brothers, Clifton Spainhower of Glennie, Gene Spainhower of Mount Clemens; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by: his parents; daughter, Roxanne Spainhower; two brothers, Virgil and Roy Spainhower.
