SOUTH, Delsie Jean (Plummer) - Age 85, of Fenton, died Saturday, April 18, 2015. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 6-8 PM and Monday from 10 AM - 2 PM and 5 PM - 8 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the National Parkinson Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association. Jean was born July 25, 1929 in Shell Knob, MO the daughter of Thomas E. and Hattie F. (Casey) Plummer. She was a 1948 graduate of Flint Central High School. She married James E. South January 27, 1951 in Flint and he preceded her in death August 18, 2001. She retired in 1980 from General Motors after 30 years of service. She enjoyed playing cards and bowling. Surviving are: 3 children, Debbie Moore and Ron Sloan of Swartz Creek, Janice and husband Mike Goldsworthy of Fenton, and James and wife Catherine South of Tennessee; 7 grandchildren, Leroy (Jackie) Moore, Jeff (Angie) Moore, Courtney (Matt) Howard, Joseph (Janel) South, Michael Goldsworthy, Samantha South, and Nick Goldsworthy; 6 great grandchildren, Casey, Tyler, Bella, Kylie, Ashlee, and Vivienne; sister, Maxine Baxter of Grand Blanc; and several nieces and nephews.
