Church, Dennis Michael Jr. "Punkie" - Age 55, of Holly, passed away November 19, 2025. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Wednesday November 26, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, Pastor Jeff Jaggers officiating. Committal service following at 2:30 PM Wednesday, November 26 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Tuesday November 25; and 12 PM until the time of the funeral at 1 PM Wednesday, November 26 at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the charity of ones choice.

Dennis was born April 27, 1970 in Tacoma, Washington, the son of Dennis Michael Church and Kathleen Marie Wegner . He was a 1988 graduate of Lake Fenton High School. He married his high school sweetheart Trisha L. Burdgick on January 17, 1992. He served seven years in the United States Army. He recently retired from AT&T as an outside lineman with 26 years of service.

He enjoyed hunting with his Dad, spending time in Pentwater, Michigan, and fishing with family on Lake Michigan. He had always enjoyed camping since their children were young. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, nephew and friend.

Surviving are: his wife of 33 years, Trisha Church; daughter Nikki (son-in-law, Elliott) Richardson; son, Justin Church (Nikki Jarrett); sister Amanda Church; step-mother, Lynda Church; Two special crazy aunts Debby and Donna, and many other beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Michael and Barbara Burdgick; sister-in-law, Kerri (Steve) Sensor; brother-in-law, Ryan Burdgick; nephews and nieces; and sister, Amy, out of state.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Kathleen; and brother Todd Church.
