Dennis Eugene Conklin

Conklin, Dennis Eugene - age 82, of Fenton passed away on Thursday October 23, 2025. He was an only child born to Eugene M. and Lois E. (Lough) Conklin on May 20, 1943 in Flint, Michigan. Dennis lived as a youth in the Lake Fenton area and upon the loss of their home due to a fire, the family moved to Flint. He graduated in the last class from Mandeville in 1961. Dennis married his high school sweetheart, Karen Marwede on December 28, 1963. Born to them were a son Michael D. and a daughter, Pamela A. He worked at several GM plants for 32 years retiring from Flint Assembly as a toolmaker in 1994. Dennis and Karen worked together for many years at the manufacturing companies Dennis started, Tyrone Tool and later with their son, Vehicle Wash Supply, up until his hospitalization. He and his wife were active members of Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church for 45 years where for a time he enjoyed serving as an elder.

Dennis is survived by his wife Karen of nearly 62 blessed years, loving son Michael, of Grand Blanc and loving daughter Pamela, of Wixom.

He was preceded in death by both parents, Eugene and Lois and parents-in-law, Melbourne and Donna Marwede.

Funeral Services will be held at Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church, 10335 White Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430, time and date will be announced soon.
