Dennis Michael Teffner

Dennis Michael Teffner,passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026 after a long illness. He was born on October 3, 1947 to James and Shirley (Harrison) Teffner. He was a graduate of Holy Redeemer High School in 1965. He was the oldest of ten siblings- David (Laura) Teffner; Patrick (Cindy) Teffner, Mark (Penny) Teffner, Judy (Dwight) Haas, Linda (Pat) Thomas, Liza (Brian) Bellinger, Mary (Bob) Folts, Ann (Ken) Donakowski, James Teffner.

Dennis has two beloved and successful daughters- Angela (Randal) Boehm and Stacey (Jason) Benn and four beautiful and talented grandchildren that he adored- Savannah, Kyle, Jackson and Emily.

In 1989 he married the love of his life Rita, and they built a life filled with adventure, love, and laughter. Together they enjoyed fishing, traveling, playing video games, and spending time with family.

Dennis spent most of his career with the U.S. Postal Service, working up to leadership roles to becoming the District Manager Human Resources in Kansas City, MO. He retired in 2010 after 43 years of service.

Dennis had a presence that shifted the entire atmosphere of a room. He was loud, boisterous and quick with a joke, generous with a smile. For those lucky enough to know him, the world will feel a little quieter without him-but infinitely richer. If his life had a soundtrack, it would undoubtedly be "My Way" by Frank Sinatra-a fitting tribute to a man who truly did things his own way to the very end.

Services will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, 1:00 pm at the Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, Fenton, MI, with , Father David Harvey officiating. There will be visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of the service.
