Dessie Marie ERVIN

ERVIN, Dessie Marie, -- Age 93, of Reese, MI, formerly of Crystal Falls, MI, died May 29, 2013. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Ed Chandler officiating. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Friday, and 9:30 - 10:30 AM Saturday at the funeral home. She was born September 30, 1919 the daughter of George and Mettie (Chandler) Parker. She loved working in her yard and nature. She enjoyed her grandchildren immensely. She loved to shop and stayed active all her life. Surviving are 2 daughters, Shelby Harrington of Crystal Falls, MI., Bonnie Austin of Reese, MI.; daughter-in-law, Lorraine Grubbs, of Leesburg, FL.; 2 sisters, Lee Gurnee, of Lennon, Opal Herndon, of Hanceville, AL.; 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many good friends of Crystal Falls. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Ervin; son Darrell Grubbs; 2 sons- in- laws, Cary Austin and Larry Harrington. She received wonderful support from her family, her sisters and her nieces. A special thanks to Dr. Dennis Lloyd for the wonderful care.
