Diana Louise Mechura

Diana Louise Mechura, age 75, of Gladwin, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025 at Swank Assisted Living, Swartz Creek. In accordance with Diana's wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Diana’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association. This organization holds special significance to our family for its support of individuals and families affected by dementia.

Diana was born on October 5, 1950 in Marion, Indiana the daughter of the late Harvey and Melba (Walker) Brown. She graduated from Flint Northwestern. Diana and Gary Mechura were united on marriage on June 22, 1968 in Flint. Sadly, he preceded her in death in December 18, 2016. She worked for GM in several capacities for over 30 years until her retirement from Delphi. Diana was a member of the Secord Lake Eagles #1141. She lived her life to the fullest by learning and conquering many new hobbies or activities over the years. In her free time, Diana was an avid painter of watercolors and oil paintings. She enjoyed attending many festivals, cherished winters spent in Florida, and loved her summers on the lake, boating with her family.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Ronette Boogren and husband Brad; two granddaughters, Avery and Ashlyn Boogren; sister, Gloria McCloud; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Diana was preceded in death by her three siblings, Ronald Brown, Marcy Knoblauch and Barb Arnot.
