Diana Marie Pettit, of Lennon, Michigan, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026.

Diana was born on June 26, 1945, in Farwell, Michigan, to George and Hilda Cryderman. She grew up in Millington and later made her home in Lennon, where she lived for more than 60 years. Diana married Jerry Pettit, with whom she shared many years until his passing in 1994.

For much of her life, Diana was a homemaker, devoting her time to her home and family. She also worked briefly at Doyle Elementary in Lennon as a playground aide and administrative assistant. Diana was easygoing and enjoyed life's simple pleasures. She liked gambling, never missed an opportunity to watch General Hospital, and enjoyed the familiar routines of everyday life. After more than six decades in Lennon, she leaves behind a lifetime of memories and connections with the people who knew her best.

Diana is survived by her children, Keith (Diane) Gross and Patricia Prince; stepson, Jerry (Helen) Pettit; grandchildren, Cory (Selina) Gross, Stacy (Nashoba Simmons) Mandoka, Amanda (Bear) Benz, Nick (Sarah) Pettit, Travis Pettit, and Jessica Bennani; great-grandchildren, Holden and Celia Pettit, Shaylyn Sprague, Kaylie Sprague, Caleb Sprague, Thomas Pelcher, Roman Hart, Ariah Mandoka, Cris Brant, and Paisley Gross; and longtime friends Sue Churchill, Chip, Lonnie, and Betty Raymond. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Pettit; granddaughter, Kristina Prince; parents, George and Hilda Cryderman; brother, Keith Cryderman; and son-in-law, Bruce Prince.

In accordance with Diana's wishes, cremation has taken place, and no services are being held at this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Diana's name to the American Cancer Society. Those wishing to contribute may visit American Cancer Society.
