Diane Laing

Diane Lee (Arnold) Laing – Age 90, of Linden, passed away Monday, November 23, 2020, due to complications with COVID-19. She was born on June 29, 1930, in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

She is survived by her loving husband Richard Laing, of Linden, son-in-law Scott Grossmeyer, of Fenton, granddaughter Katelin (Zach) Wiersma, of Cedar Springs, and niece Julie (Mark) Bruman, of North Branch.

Before retiring, Diane spent her career as a teacher and professor, teaching at Oakland Community College for much of her career. She is a proud alumni of Western Michigan University and later securing her Ph.D. from Michigan State University.

A memorial service will be held at St. Bartholomew Church in Swartz Creek on Saturday, July 24, at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. In lieu of flowers, those desiring to make a contribution may do so to St. Bartholomew Church or the Loose Senior Center in Linden, Michigan.
