TRAFAS, Diane Jeanette - age 81, of Flushing, died March 13, 2024. Funeral services will be held 12:30 PM Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI. Visitation will be held from 11 AM - 12:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Ronald McDonald House Charities (www.rmhc.org). Diane was born May 23, 1942 in Good Hart, MI, the daughter of Edward T. and Anne V. (Shensky) Masteau. She was a graduate of Beecher High School and retired from Sears as a Credit Analyst in 2005. Diane married Ronald Trafas on October 5, 1991 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Diane was an Elder with the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians and at 18 years old won Miss Indian Princess. She was a member of  Dom Polski of Flint and the Polish Legion of American Vets. Diane was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling and hunting with her husband. Surviving are: husband, Ronald Trafas; two sons, David Johnston and Timothy Wayne Johnston; step-children, Ronald J. Trafas, Jr. and Tara Trafas; grandchildren, Kristin (Jeremy) Thompson, David Johnson, III, Dakotah Winther, Tyler Trafas, and Adam Trafas; great-grandchildren, Zoie Johnston, Samuel, James, and Oliver Thompson; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Anne Masteau; three sisters, Velma Barlett, Rita Pershing, and Norma Masteau; brother, James Masteau.
