Donald Anderson

ANDERSON, Donald L., age 74, of Columbus, OH, formerly of Fenton, died Friday, November 29, 2019.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Linden.  Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation (www.parkinson.org) or the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org). Donald was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 27, 1945 the son of Leroy John and Margaret Marie (McDonald) Anderson.  He graduated from Redford Union High School in 1963.  Donald married Norma J. Grant on July 2, 1966.  Donald was employed by Unarco Material Handling for over 37 years before retiring in 2009, he was an original member of Faith Baptist Church in Linden since 1982 and enjoyed playing golf, traveling and was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers.  Surviving are:  his wife, Norma J. Anderson of Columbus, OH; son, Todd (Heather) Anderson of Columbus, OH; daughter, Tracey Anderson of New Port Richey, FL; five grandchildren, Samuel, Isaac (Hannah), Jesse (Abby), Katie, and Benjamin; one great-grandchild, Rafe;  brother, Alan (Marie) Anderson of Mancelona; sister, Janice (Ric) Cummings of Livonia; several nieces and nephews.
