Donald Joseph Beauchamp - Age 82, of Flushing, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 310 N. Cherry Street, Flushing. Visitation will be held Thursday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. A time of sharing will take place at 6:30 p.m., followed by the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Visitation will also be held Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Donald was born on January 7, 1944, in Flint, the son of the late Frank and Winifred (Griffin) Beauchamp. He married the love of his life, Joanne “Jonie” Thomas, on April 16, 1966. Don retired from AC after many years of dedicated service and was deeply committed to his union, proudly serving as Shop Chairman and International Representative for UAW Local #651.
Don had a lifelong passion for youth athletics. He coached basketball at St. Mary and Powers Catholic High Schools and was a constant presence at his grandchildren’s sporting events. Family was always paramount in his life. He shared a deep love of University of Michigan athletics with his family, was a proud M Go Blue member, and cherished time spent at the family cottage on Houghton Lake. Don was a humble man who dedicated his life to helping others and leading by example.
Don is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 60 years, Jonie; sons, Tom (Sarah), Tim (Julie), Jeff (Robin), and Joe (Becky); daughters-in-law, Amy (Bob), Angie, and Jessica; grandchildren, Blake (Lindsay), Noah, Brooke, Kendall, Aidan, Audrey, Peyton (Tessa), Taylor, Abigail, Sawyer, Braxton, Kelsey, Kobey, Kyler, Kinsey, Joe (Haidynn), Jake (Maysa), Josh, Jillian, and Jayce; great-grandchildren, Ashton, Carter, Bella, Emmett, Boston, and Denver; brother, Larry (Kathy); sisters-in-law, Bethany Lenhart, Jackie (Ken) Paul, and Rita Sandford; brother-in-law, Tim Jubenville; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kirk; brothers, Jim and John; and sister, Judy Jubenville.
