Donald Paul Fournier, age 67, of Flushing, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in Brooksville, Florida. A Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 18, 2026, at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Road, Swartz Creek, with Fr. Louis Ekka celebrating. A committal service with full military honors will follow at 2:30 PM on Monday at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly.
Donald was born on September 1, 1958, in Flint, Michigan, the son of the late Alphone and Hannah (Frost) Fournier. He graduated from Davison High School, Class of 1976. Donald proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1976 and served for 20 years until his honorable discharge in 1996. Following his military career, Donald began working for the MTA Mass Transit Authority, where he worked for another 20 years until his retirement. Donald and Theresa Fearon were united in marriage on June 3, 2006, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Flint. They enjoyed spending many winters in Port Richey, Florida. Donald will be greatly missed by many.
He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa; son, Steven (Lillian) Fournier; stepdaughter, Kristin (Jason) Shivers; grandchildren, Kaylee, Lyra, Penelope and their mother, Bonnie Fournier; grandchildren, Amelia, Freyja, Shyanne, and George Anderson; siblings, Alma (Tom) Goldner, Ray (Marilyn) Fournier, Francis Fournier, Denise (Peter) Forro, and Janice (John) Cameron; several nieces and nephews; and his special companion, his dog, Shadow.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Stephanie Fournier, and granddaughter, Isabelle Anderson. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
