Donald Hohn

Dawson, Dorathy Louise - Age 86, of Flint, died August 25, 2014. Hohn, Donald Lee - Age 49, of Flint, died August 26, 2014. Mother and son. Combined Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, August 30 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint, Pastor Ron Scott officiating. Visitation will be 5-9 PM Friday, and 10-11 AM Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan Food Bank or National Multiple Sclerosis Society for Dorathy. Those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society for Donald. Dorathy was born September 5, 1927 in Toledo, Ohio the daughter of Leon and Mary (Cross) Ingraham. She had attended Spring Arbor College and earned her Bachelors and Masters Degrees from the University of Michigan. She was an elementary school teacher for 30 years retiring in 1992. She taught in the Flint Community Schools, Lincoln and Stewart Elementary Schools. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church. Surviving are: three children, Mary Berlanga of Flint, Diana Hohn of Flint, Bill (Sally) Hohn of Grand Blanc; sister Hope (Bud) Papp; grandchildren, Annette (Don) Minzey, Crystal (Jeremy) Fraser, Grace Hohn, William Hohn, Claire Hohn, Anna Hohn; 4 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog Troy. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Luther Dawson; son-in-law, Art Berlanga; and her son Donald Hohn died on August 26, 2014, just one day after she did. The family extends a special thank you to Mary Ann Owens. Donald was born April 27, 1965 in Flint the son of William A. Hohn and Dorathy L. (Ingraham) Hohn. He was a graduate of Flint Southwestern High School. Donald was a semi-truck driver for 22 years. Surviving are: three siblings, Mary Berlanga of Flint, Diana Hohn of Flint, Bill (Sally) Hohn of Grand Blanc; nieces and nephews, Annette (Don) Minzey, Crystal (Jeremy) Fraser, Grace Hohn, William Hohn, Claire Hohn, Anna Hohn; 4 great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his father; and his mother Dorothy who died on August 25, 2014 just one day before he did. The family extends a special thank you to the nurses at Genesys Hospital.
